In Psalm 27 David grapples with the issue of fear. Fear of life. Fear of death. Fear of hearing yes. Fear of hearing no. Fear of moving ahead. Fear of staying behind. This is what fear does it keeps you stuck. Stuck in the middle. Taunting you about doing something and tormenting you about doing nothing.
I’ve heard it said that diamonds are a girl’s best friend. I might agree with that; we do love our bling. But what about our pearls? Maybe they don’t have the shine of a diamond but they have class. There can be a lot of digging to discover the pearls in our lives.

The lingering scent of someone you love is magical, endearing and can trigger memories of their presence. You can smell their scent on their shirt and on the pillow that they slept on. Their scent lingers even when they aren’t there physically. It’s a reminder that they were there.
